Hey there,

I thought I'd write a bit about myself, give you an idea of who I am.

I'm a single mother of 3 children, all teens now. I am divorced, have my children full time, and spend my spare time (when I can squeeze some in) writing.

My interest in writing started when I was about 8 years old. For me it was a release, a way to hide myself away and take my mind into different worlds. At about age 9 or so I had my first poem published in a Community Newsletter, along with a picture I had drawn covering the front of said Newsletter. If you saw the picture I drew (stick people and rudimentary buildings...lol) you would understand why I decided to stay with writing.

When I was in Grade 10 I was approached by two teachers, on separate occasions, about writing as a career. Unfortunately I was not prepared to explore that path. Write? Are you kidding? I was in high school and was too preoccupied. Later on however I realized that I should have persued it full time and developed my skills as a writer.

Now that I am older and, hopefully, wiser I have gotten back into writing. It's a passion. Now that my children are older I've come around full circle.

This site is in it's early stages, there will be much more to come. I have been through a lot in my life and have come away with a great deal of insight. Over the next while you will be taken on a journey of a girl that had a terrible childhood, grow into a woman that realized to be defeated was to let those that hurt her win.

I hope you enjoy my site, visit as often as you like, and the more people I reach the better. Life should be a learning experience, not something to just be survived.
